08/22/2014

Almost time for one important business flight or for your most awaited vacation trip?

In the midst of the excitement and the last-minute rush, some minor but very important details may be forgotten before leaving to the airport… Please find some of the basic recommendations published by the National Airport Security Institution and Civil Aviation (Cuerpo Especializado en Seguridad Aeroportuaria y de la AviaciĆ³n Civil – CESAC).

3 simple things you should not forget before takeoff:

1. Introduce authorized liquid containers in a plastic bag.

If your about to leave on a short flight, you can take small tubes with liquid or gel up to 100ml or less enclosed in a small, transparent plastic bag. Please note that only one bag per passenger is allowed. Exceptions apply to passengers who are traveling with babies. They are allowed to carry milk, food, medicines and liquids such as water, juice, liquid nutrients and gel. Exceptions also apply to passengers with diabetes or other medical conditions.

Recommended: Please take out your sealed plastic bag and place it in a separate container at the Security Control desk. Please report what it contains to one of the airport authorities in the area.

2. Present electronic equipments for inspection.
Please take out your laptop, video camera, cassettes out of your handbag and place in a separate container for inspection at the security control desk.

3. Place wearables mentioned below in one of the containers provided at the Security Desk.
All passengers must place their shoes, jackets or blazers in one of the containers provided at the Security Desk for X ray inspection.
Recommended: Please wear shoes that are easy to take off to accelerate the process.
