A grand welcome to La Romana Airport!

On Wednesday December 17th, the Mora family received a grand VIP welcome to the Casa de Campo – La Romana Airport.

In November of this year, the Casa de Campo – La Romana Airport was honored to take part in the “Encuentro Anual Romanenses 2014”, an annual gathering of Dominicans from La Romana (known as “Romanenses”) living in New York. And this week the La Romana Airport was thrilled to welcome the first group of these “Romanenses Ausentes” back to La Romana, the Mora family.

During the gathering in New York, the Casa de Campo – La Romana Airport announced that any “Romanenses Ausentes” (people from La Romana now living abroad) arriving into the La Romana Airport would receive a grand VIP welcome. And so when the Mora family stepped off the jetBlue flight from New York, they were greeted not only by the beautiful bright Dominican sun, but also by Andres Fernandez, commercial Airport & Port Manager for Central Romana.

Following a quick photo opportunity on the tarmac, the Morla family were then whisked through customs and directly to their home in a car provided by the La Romana Airport.
